History of the Daniel Oduber International Airport
Named in honor of the former president of Costa Rica, Daniel Oduber, whose idea was to build an airport in the region and who was an avid supporter of expansion and development in Guanacaste, this international airport was opened in 1995, with its first commercial flight arriving here from Miami, Florida.
